ABSTRACT Obesity is a serious, chronic, and progressive disease associated with physiological dysfunctions that interact with circadian clock activity. Vertical gastrectomy (VG) is currently the most frequently performed bariatric procedure for the treatment of obesity. The objective of this case study was to verify the effect of VG on sleep quality, eating behavior, and metabolic parameters of obese individuals four months after the procedure.
