Tardive dyskinesia (TD) is a complex iatrogenic movement disorder that can manifest as orolingual, truncal, or respiratory dyskinesia as well as dystonia, tremor, chorea, myoclonus, akathisia, or Parkinsonism.[,] It is caused by dopamine-blocking agents including typical as well as new-generation antipsychotics and anti-emetics.[,] TD can be disabling and socially isolating, its pathophysiology is poorly understood, and treatment is challenging.
