This case highlights the significance of the endogenous biologic clock and challenges in entraining a longer circadian period. By preventing the evening body temperature drop, heatwaves may exacerbate non–24-hour sleep-wake disorder, favoring the inherent shift in bedtime and impeding the implementation of morning arousal treatments.
